Eco Organic Mattress

Eco Organic Mattress – 10 Inches Tall
Our Eco Organic Mattress uses one seamless GOLS-certified organic latex layer 2 inches in the comfort layer (D65 / 14-19 ILD, soft). We add a layer of pure, naturally crimped GOTS-certified organic wool (CU 863637) (1 ounce per square foot) under certified organic cotton ticking in every mattress. For a luxurious and premium finish, we use GOTS-certified organic cotton (CU863637) in a soft, natural color for a luxurious and premium finish, over a generous layer of organic wool with thin, non-woven backing as a natural fire barrier. We do not use polyester fiber. Made in our manufacturing facility, our border coils are a meaty 14.5 gauge, and interior zone coils are 12 gauge. Some companies use toxic chemical glues to bind their mattress layers, contributing to off-gassing and indoor air pollution. We do not. Instead, we use simple, durable metal rings from recycled steel to keep our mattress layers firmly in place.
Green/Vegan Mattress (Standard) – 11 Inches Tall
Our standard Avocado Green Mattress is GREENGUARD Gold Certified® by UL Environment (rather than select components). It is a GOTS Organic Certified product and contains 3 inches of GOLS organic certified Dunlop latex. Construction of the build layers is as follows (listed from top to bottom):
Organic Cotton Ticking — GOTS-certified organic and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 (wraps the whole mattress).
Organic Wool — 1 ounce per sq. ft. — GOTS-certified organic, Responsible Wool Standard and STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Class 1 certified wool (19.HIN.68466, Hohenstein HTTI) sourced from Avocado Organic Wool in India. (Note: For our Avocado Vegan Mattress, wool is replaced with GOTS-certified organic cotton batting, and we add natural graphite powder to the latex as a non-toxic flame retardant.)
Organic Certified Dunlop Latex — D65 / 14-19 ILD, Soft, 2 inches — GOLS-certified organic, made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and eco-INSTITUT® label certified, sourced from Avocado Organic Latex in India & Guatemala.
Individually Wrapped Innerspring Unit— Up to 1,459 fabric-encased support coils flex independently. They are arranged in 7 ergonomic zones — 3 interior zones and four reinforced perimeter zones — for optimal support and pressure relief.
Organic Certified Dunlop Latex — D65 / 14-19 ILD, Soft, 1 inch — GOLS-certified organic, made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and eco-INSTITUT® label certified, sourced from Avocado organic certified farms and facilities we co-own in India and Guatemala.

The entire Avocado Green Mattress with the attached Euro-style pillow-top is GREENGUARD Gold Certified® by UL Environment (rather than select components). It is a GOTS-Certified Organic product and contains 5 inches of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex. Construction of the build layers is as follows (listed from top to bottom):

Latex Mattress – 9 Inches Tall
Our Latex Mattress is Made Safe Certified, GREENGUARD Gold Certified, and GOTS-certified organic. The core of our Latex Mattress includes 9 inches of GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex in three seamless layers: 2 inches of Contoured Latex in the top comfort layer (D65 / 14-19 ILD, soft), 3 inches (D75, 20-25 ILD, medium) in the middle, and 4 inches (D85, 38 ILD, firm) at the base.
We craft the upper panel with GOTS-certified organic cotton, up to 3% spandex, wool, and non-woven fabric. We stitch the border from GOTS-certified organic cotton, up to 3% spandex, a needle punch wool layer, and non-woven fabric. The bottom layer has a GOTS-certified cotton canvas and a GOTS-certified organic needle punch wool layer.

Layer 1: GOTS-certified organic cotton sourced from Canada (450g). Layer 2: GOTS-certified organic certified wool (325g), sourced ethically from our farms in the Himalayas and cleaned mechanically without chemicals in our facility in India. Our wool is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), which addresses the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on, and the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® non-toxic certification (19.HIN.68466, Hohenstein HTTI). Layer 3: 2 inches of natural Alpaca fiber ethically sourced from the Netherlands (500g). Layer 4: Another layer of our GOTS-certified organic wool from India. Layer 5: Another layer of natural Alpaca fiber ethically sourced from the Netherlands (500g). Layer 6: GOTS-certified organic cotton canvas sourced from South Carolina (375g/12oz).

Layer 7: 2 inches of GOLS-certified organic certified soft, Dunlop natural latex (D65/14-19ILD), made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, with eco-INSTITUT® label, FSC®, and Rainforest Alliance® certifications — sourced from India and Guatemala, from our own farms and organic certified processing facilities. This latex layer is contour cut in a patented design, featuring three zones of body contouring support. Layer 8: Soft GOTS-certified organic wool, natural silk, and natural mohair blend layer (700g).
Bottom & Side Panels
Layer 9: Another layer of GOTS-certified organic certified cotton canvas (375g). Layer 10: GOTS-certified organic, needle-punched wool sourced from our farms in India. Layer 11: Breathable GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey (95g) to help hold the organic latex in place.
Core & Base
Layer 12: A 3” micro-coil innerspring unit, with up to 1,722 individually wrapped springs, for durability without sagging or settling and to minimize “roll-together” and isolate motion (pillow-top only). Layer 13: Soft GOTS organic certified wool, blended with cotton and natural silk (500g, pillow-top only). Layer 14: 2 inches of GOLS-certified organic certified, soft Dunlop natural latex (D65/14-19ILD), made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, with eco-INSTIUT® label, FSC®, and Rainforest Alliance® certifications. Sourced from India and Guatemala, from our own farms and organic certified processing facilities. Layer 15: GOTS-certified organic certified natural hemp pad (450g) for firm support. Layer 16: 8-inch innerspring unit, with up to 1,459 individually wrapped coils, made in the United States from recycled steel in 3 wire gauges, that move independently and are arranged in 7 strategic zones, with a reinforced steel perimeter for edge support. Layer 17: GOTS-certified organic certified natural hemp pad (450g) for firm support.
